Welcome to Umbrale ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website at umbrale.fun or our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Umbrale, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Umbrale is a daily EPL (English Premier League) player guessing game. We offer:

A free daily puzzle available to all users
A virtual coin system earned through gameplay
A global leaderboard using a chosen username
Optional paid features including access to the full archive of past puzzles

3. Purchases and Payments

Certain features of Umbrale require payment, including the Archive Unlock which grants access to past daily puzzles. All purchases are:

Processed securely through Paddle, our authorised payment processor
Charged in the currency displayed at checkout
Subject to Paddle's terms and conditions
Non-transferable to other accounts

For mobile app purchases, payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms.

4. Refund Policy

We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase if you have not accessed the purchased content. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected]. Refunds for App Store or Google Play purchases must be requested through the respective platform.

5. Virtual Currency (Coins)

Umbrale uses a virtual coin system. Coins are:

Earned through gameplay — they have no real-world monetary value
Non-transferable between accounts
Not redeemable for cash or any monetary equivalent
Subject to forfeiture if your account is terminated for violation of these terms

6. User Conduct

When using Umbrale, you agree not to:

Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the service
Attempt to manipulate the leaderboard or game results
Choose a username that is offensive, misleading, or impersonates another person
Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the game

We reserve the right to remove any username or account that violates these rules.

7. Intellectual Property

All Umbrale game design, code, and branding is owned by us. Player names, club names, and related football statistics are used for informational and entertainment purposes under fair use.

Player photos displayed in Umbrale are sourced from the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) API, operated by the Premier League. These images remain the property of the Premier League and/or their respective rights holders. Umbrale is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Premier League, the Fantasy Premier League, or any football club.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Umbrale is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any errors will be corrected. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Umbrale, including loss of virtual coins or access to purchased features due to technical issues.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of Umbrale after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will post the updated date at the top of this page.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia, Australia.
